Sky darkness attribution. This product was made utilizing Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Day/Night Band nighttime lights data produced by the Earth Observation Group, Payne Institute for Public Policy, Colorado School of Mines. We modified the data: it is combined from surrounding areas, resampled and converted into estimated sky brightness values. Source: EOG, Colorado School of Mines.
Aurora. The aurora visibility line is calculated by Stargaze Camp from the NOAA OVATION aurora model grid and is based on NOAA data. It is not an official NOAA product and NOAA does not endorse it.
Weather. Forecast data from the US National Weather Service. Stargaze Camp is not an official NWS product.
No government endorsement. Stargaze Camp is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by NOAA, the National Weather Service, the National Park Service, Recreation.gov, NASA, the U.S. Census Bureau or any other government agency. The same list with links is in the app under More > Data sources.
